The School of the Arts, English and Media fosters contemporary arts practice with the objective to support a program of research-based exhibitions with a strong curatorial focus or rationale. The focus is upon creative work that extends critical debate about contemporary visual art, design and culture. Some of the gallery's specific aims include highlighting the creative research of staff and postgraduate students and supporting high calibre touring exhibitions, exchanges and artist residencies.

The main gallery is situated on level 1 of building 25. The gallery is open to the public from 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.
