Tide, an independent literary journal, showcases the works of emerging poets, prose writers, playwrights and visual artists. It is produced annually by the third-year Creative Writing students.
Tide – named because it spells ‘edit’ backwards – has been published since May 2004. The students work as editors, fundraisers, designers, and print officers in the space of thirteen weeks to produce the 100-page journal.
Tide is proudly supported by UOW, Graphic Design and Creative Writing lecturers, businesses in the Illawarra and Sutherland Shire, community members, artists and writers.
“This provides a wonderful opportunity for students to learn practical, hands-on skills in editing and publishing.” Dr Shady Cosgrove, Senior Lecturer, Creative Writing.
