"With my Mum working as head editor and reporter for a TV show in China, I’ve always been interested in the media and how it worked. I was drawn to Wollongong’s natural beauty and the university’s great academic reputation - and it hasn’t disappointed. Everything in Wollongong is so close, everyone is very friendly and I’m learning so much. I love it here and I’m already planning to do a second major before finding my dream career in public relations.”

"When I first came to UOW, the member of staff that showed me around on a campus tour was really lovely. I loved how the uni was located between the mountains and the sea. UOW was the only university with scholarships for media students. You learn hands on in the classroom and in a professional environment. At first I was a little nervous because everything was new, but I quickly made friends with my classmates and lecturers who are really friendly and supportive. UOW really feels like home and somewhere I belong."
