Head of Students

The Head of Students (HOSt) provides advice relating to enrolment, degree planning and progress, as well as information on many aspects of the University rules and regulations.

HOSts can assist students with the following:

  • Academic advice
  • Academic consideration
  • Adding/ choosing subjects
  • Advanced standing
  • Appeal processes and grievance resolutions
  • Changing a major/ minor
  • Credit/ exemption (advanced standing)
  • Cross-institutional study
  • Course transfers 
  • Excess credit point approvals
  • Exchange advice and approvals (excluding Law)
  • Leave of Absence
  • Mapping your degree
  • Subject pre-requisite and co-requisites waivers


Appointments are made through LHA Central and all enquiries should be directed here in the first instance. Appointments will be scheduled during HoSts consultations times and are conducted in the following locations:
