#illridewithyou directed by Madison Behringer

#illridewithyou explores a hostage’s experience of the 2014 Sydney Lindt Café siege. How did they escape? What is it like living as a survivor of Australia’s most prominent terrorist attack? Tongue-in-cheek and politically incorrect, #illridewithyou exposes the media’s coverage of the attack and how this shaped Australia’s response to the event.
A Lifestyle Choice directed by Morgan McPherson
Cast: Josh Ball, Rachel Bardwell, Lily Hayman & Lily Hensby
Have you ever heard an outrageous statement made by a U.S politician? Of course you have. Statements like “Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.” Or “I will build a great, great wall… and I will make Mexico pay for that wall.” Have you ever thought “at least the Australian Government isn’t as bad as that”? A Lifestyle Choice explores the connection between governments, highlighting their views on immigration and their solution to these “problems” as well as how they are defining Australia as a nation.
SIP or Student Initiated Productions offers Theatre and Performance students the chance to direct, create and produce their own performances. The SIP process simulates the industry model of creating work from expressions of interest and successful applications, to creation, rehearsing and production responsibilities. TAKE A SIP students have worked over the summer break and will present their work in the second week of autumn semester 2017.
