LHA student awarded New Colombo Plan Scholarship
Bachelor of Arts (Dean’s Scholar) student Georgia Brown was one of three UOW students to be awarded a New Colombo Plan (NCP) Scholarship for 2015.
Announced by Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and Education Minister Christopher Pyne, 69 students from 23 Australian Universities will spend up to a year in one of 17 locations across the Indo-Pacific region.
The New Colombo Plan is a signature initiative of the Australian Government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia by supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake internships in the region.
The successful students will study in a wide range of disciplines including language and culture, law, business, engineering and natural sciences.
Georgia will undertake her studies in Japan in 2015.
